We hope that you have enjoyed being a member of the FVC this past year! If you are looking to have a greater role in the Future Vets Club, then consider applying for one of our executive positions! This will be a great addition to your resumé and vet school application.
 
We have 3 positions available this year, listed below. Aside from position-specific responsibilities, all executive members must attend our weekly executive meetings where we plan the running of the club! In addition, you'll man ticket and clothing sales, help organize events like Mock MMIs and Networking Brunch, make great connections and friends, and more. Please note that you can only apply to one position

Available Positions

 

Title: Junior Treasurer (2 year commitment)

Spots: 1

Description: Your responsibilities will be to assist the Senior Treasurer in the financial aspects of the club, and in the second year become the Senior Treasurer - in your second year, you will mentor a prospective Treasurer for the following year. You will help maintain finances for the club (including membership fees, seminars, and club and fundraising events), budgeting, and financial record keeping. previous treasurer experience required, upper year students preferred. Please note that this is a 4 semester commitment.

Title: Junior Editor of the Omnis Animalis (2 year commitment)

Spots: 1

Description: Your responsibilities will be to assist the Senior Editor of the Omnis Animalis blog in the publication of written content throughout the year, and in the second year become the Senior Editor - in your second year, you will mentor a prospective Editor for the following year. A background in writing would be an asset. Please note that this is a 4 semester commitment.

Application Instructions: In the body of your email, please write your name, year, and program, and submit a piece of writing. This could be an essay or paper from your school work, or something written specifically for submission to the FVC.

Title: Executive Assistant

Spots: 2

Description: Your responsibilities will be to perform various tasks depending on the needs of the club, such as: 

  • Observing and training to take on future executive positions
  • Supporting the club in virtual event planning and the use of Microsoft Teams
  • Assisting with merch sales
  • Attending the weekly FVC Executive Meetings and a variety of virtual (and possibly in-person, COVID-permitting) FVC events throughout the year
