Specialty: Large Animal and Small Ruminants
Chris Buschbeck was born in Germany a long time ago, where she attended the University in Kiel and earned a master degree in agriculture. After immigrating to Canada in 1988 she worked for the University of Guelph as a research assistant before going back to school for her degree in veterinary medicine. She has been working at Markdale Veterinary Services since 2000, when she, her husband and two boys relocated their dairy sheep farm to Grey County. Chris is involved in the sheep industry as a breeder of East Friesians, a frequent lecturer at producer meetings and an owner of SRGenetics, a company that offers artificial insemination services for sheep and goats. She is currently the Vice President of SRVO, The Association Of Small Ruminant Veterinarians Of Ontario. Chris and her brother used to be avid 3-day-eventers, but now settle to take their horses for a good run through the bush when they find time.
