Being a member of any club is a worthwhiel experience at the University of Guelph – it allows you to meet new people who share similar interests or goals.
Membership in the Future Vets Club costs $10 annually and is used to pay for programming and events that benefit our members!
Membership gains you access to our ListServ where we share our events and other opportunities. As well, we offer discounts to our members for some of the events that charge admission. Over the course of the year, attending two or more events gets you your money back and it saves you some down the road. Members also gain advanced sign up access to events with limited capacity.
You can register as a member by e-transfering the membership fee at any time during the academic semester, however all membership fees must be renewed annually as the membership list is cleared every Fall. e-Tranfers can be sent to email@example.com with fvcfvc as the password, and your email and name in the message.
You can learn more about membership at the Fall and Winter General Meetings. Find the dates for these meetings on our Events page. The Fall 2022 Fall General Meeting will be hosted on Wednesday September 21st, 6pm-7pm.
Events that we have hosted in the past include:
- Networking Brunch with Veterinarians from many different specialities
- Presentations by representatives from international Veterinary Schools on their DVM programs
- Mock MMIs
- Behind the scenes tour of the Toronto Zoo’s veterinary clinic
- Suturing workshop
- Presentations by veterinary or animal specialists
