TITLE: GHS Kids Critter Camp Leader (Summer) – 2 positions
LOCATION: 190 Hanlon Creek Boulevard, Guelph, ON
SHIFT: 8 hours (various times between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
TYPE: Full–time Contract (10 weeks, June 26, 2023, to September 1, 2023)
JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Education & Community Programs Coordinator, the
successful candidate will be responsible for leading daily camp activities and games, supervising
and providing support to all campers during GHS’ Summer Critter Camp. In addition, the Critter
Camp Leader will also be responsible for handling a variety of animals, ensuring the safety of the
program participants, and teaching campers about GHS and how to handle animals safely. Camp
runs each week, Monday through Friday, except for holiday Mondays (Canada Day/August Civic
Long Weekend), throughout July and August. Candidates are expected to be available to work
for the entire camp season and time off (vacation requests) cannot be accommodated during
this time. Camps are offered at Guelph Humane Society, 190 Hanlon Creek Blvd. location and
